| Crown Renewable Energy And JA Solar Sign Contract |
On January 15, 2007 Crown Renewable Energy secured a 45 Megawatt contract with JA Solar Holdings CO,. Ltd. (Public, NASDAQ:JASO) The agreement states that Crown Renewable Energy is contracted to buy 125 mm X 125 mm mono-crystalline solar cells from JA Solar over a period of three years. Quality standards set in the contract ensure that Crown Renewable Energy will be supplied with cells that have high levels of efficiency.
Through the creation of the contract, the combined capabilities of CRE and JA Solar will allow greater penetration of the multiple stages in the solar supply chain. Supply chain steps that are inside the range of CRE/JA Solar capabilities will now include the creation and distribution of ingots, wafers, cells and modules.
